Seventh Circuit Court Upholds Court's Decision in Trade Well Int'l v. United Cent. Bank (Trade Well II)

On June 17, 2016, a three-judge panel of the United States Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the trial court’s decision in Trade Well Int’l v. United Cent. Bank (Trade Well II). Writing for the court, Judge Flaum authored the unanimous decision for Judges Posner and Alonso.  The court made quick work of the appellee’s jurisdictional, due process, mandate, and other arguments by issuing a 13-page decision in just three weeks after oral argument was held on May 27, 2016 in Chicago, Illinois.  Specifically, the court affirmed the decision by United States District Court Judge James D. Peterson granting judgment in favor of Murphy Desmond S.C.’s client, United Central Bank (now known as Hanmi Bank), in its totality.  Attorney Brian Thill argued the case for the successful Bank, and Attorneys Bob Pasch and Tim Casper also appeared in the action.
