Ms. Furay has been involved in representing clients in business financing transactions, corporate restructuring and reorganization, commercial and business transaction law, business and commercial litigation for more than 25 years. She currently Chairs the Litigation practice Group for the firm.
Her areas of practice include acting as attorney for borrowers, lenders and secured creditors; representation of creditor committees, secured creditors, debtors and the Trustee in business bankruptcies; representing clients in commercial and business litigation; and negotiating financing transactions.
A shareholder in Murphy Desmond S.C., Ms. Furay also engages in all aspects of client representation in connection with marital property issues, such as negotiating and preparing marital property agreements and assisting in related estate planning. She is the past Chair of the firm's Creditors' Rights, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Practice Group and the Corporate, Business and Tax Practice Group.
Ms. Furay received the 1994 Distinguished Service Award from the State Bar of Wisconsin and also has received numerous awards from the American Bar Association. Her Achievements have been recognized by Who's Who In American Women, Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in Emerging Leaders, and Wisconsin Super Lawyers.
