Mr. Barker has been a staunch advocate for employers for over 10 years. He helps employers understand and comply with the vast-array of state, federal and local employment laws, and defends them when the need arises. He also represents employers in connection with union relations, collective bargaining, and strike-related issues.
In addition to his employment-related experience, Mr. Barker has experience handling issues that government contractors face under the federal False Claims Act and its whistleblower provisions.

Successfully defending employers accused of unlawful discrimination or harassment in federal court as well as before state, federal and local administrative agencies.
Representing employers in connection with a variety of union and strike-related matters, including union organizing campaigns, labor contract negotiations, grievance arbitrations, strike violence issues, secondary boycotts, and union decertification elections.
Counseling employers on a variety of day-to-day employment issues, including wage and hour, FMLA, and disability issues.
Drafting employee handbooks and employment agreements.
Litigating cases concerning employee non-competition agreements.
