Mr. Mendoza concentrates his practice on business law, litigation, real estate law and government relations. For eight years, he served as an Assistant to the Mayor of the City of Madison, overseeing several agencies and functions including: Planning, Zoning, Tax Incremental Financing and Public Safety. He also represented the City of Madison in its intergovernmental relations efforts with the State of Wisconsin and other local governments throughout Wisconsin. As a fluent Spanish speaker and writer, Mr. Mendoza has assisted clients and organizations with matters involving Spanish speakers in Wisconsin and Latin America. Mr. Mendoza has extensive experience in contracts and contract disputes, business organizations, collections, employment and litigation. In 2001 he argued a medical malpractice case before the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
Since 2005, Mr. Mendoza has been an adjunct faculty member at the University of Wisconsin Law School in the Lawyering Skills Program.
