Scott Smith's practice focuses on the representation of professional athletes and coaches.  Scott is the founder of X-A-M Sports & Entertainment, LLC, a Madison-based sports management agency that represents over 15 active players in the National Football League.  Scott has negotiated dozens of contracts for some of the NFL's top rising stars, including Super Bowl cornerback Ike Taylor of the Pittsburgh Steelers, whose deal made him the highest paid defensive back in Steelers' franchise history.

Prior to joining Murphy Desmond and founding X-A-M Sports & Entertainment, Scott practiced law in the areas of sports, business and tax law at two highly-respected law firms in Denver, Colorado and Washington, D.C.  He earned a L.L.M. degree in Taxation, which is highly beneficial for Scott's clients when negotiating sports contracts.
