CIVITAS

For people to become more involved in their communities, it is important to understand how local government works. CIVITAS was formed to foster an understanding of public affairs and increase civic engagement. Understanding local concerns such as property taxes, where money comes from in local governments and how it is spent are things we should all take the time to learn.

As an active law firm in the community, Murphy Desmond is proud to be a sponsor of the CIVITAS programs throughout 2008 that consist of meetings and education on local government topics. Our attorneys Ron Trachtenberg and Chris Rendall have been participants in CIVITAS.
