ECHO, Inc.
It's the time of year for giving, and Murphy Desmond has taken on helping to feed the hungry in Janesville this recent holiday season. From December 10-14, the firm sponsored a food drive to benefit ECHO, Inc. of Janesville. On Monday, December 10, anyone who gave food or money to ECHO received an insulated travel mug with hot chocolate or coffee to go. The food drive was held at the office of Forward Janesville, Inc.
ECHO, Inc. was founded in 1969 as a charity organization serving low-income individuals and families. It has grown from an organization that fed and clothed those in need, to offering temporary housing and transportation as well as programs to help people support themselves. As a new firm to the Janesville community, Murphy Desmond S.C. decided to step in and help this organization that relies solely on volunteers and donations from people, organizations and businesses in the community. In addition to the food drive, Murphy Desmond coordinated donations for Toys for Tots with a drop-off bin in their lobby at 33 East Main Street in Madison. The firm also allowed employees to volunteer their time during the day to ring bells for the Salvation Army.
