Mr. Rameker is a member of Murphy Desmond S.C. having joined the firm in 1981. He has over 35 years of experience representing clients in corporate restructuring and reorganization. In 2007 he was again ranked "Top Lawyer" in bankruptcy in a poll of lawyers, as published in Madison Magazine and continues to be listed in "Best Lawyers in America."  He also continues to be named one of Wisconsin's Super Lawyers by Milwaukee Magazine.

His expertise includes representation of secured and unsecured creditors in Chapter 11 proceedings and restructuring troubled companies both inside and outside of Chapter 11 and representing banks.

Mr. Rameker has acted as attorney for the Creditors' Committee and for the Debtor in numerous business bankruptcies in a variety of industries. He has also acted as the State Court Receiver, Bankruptcy Trustee and attorney for the Trustee in the liquidation of numerous businesses.

He has also played an active role in the community serving as officer or director for various organizations, including Special Olympics Wisconsin, Inc., the East Madison and Madison Metropolitan YMCAs, the East Madison Jaycees, the Elvehjem Neighborhood Association, Kennedy Little League, Inc., the Optimist Club of Downtown Madison, Badger Basketball Boosters, Inc., the Wisconsin State Fair Park Youth Foundation, Inc. and Monona Grove Education Foundation, Inc.
