U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) COVID-19 Updates Through April 1, 2020

On April 1, 2020, the temporary USCIS suspension (dated March 18, 2020) of all routine face-to-face services with applicants at all offices, including interviews, naturalization ceremonies and biometric collection appointments, was extended through May 3, 2020. USCIS offices will begin to re-open on May 4, 2020, unless the public closures are extended further.

USCIS will continue to provide emergency services during this time period. If you have an emergency service request or an expedite service request, visit this link for more information: https://www.uscis.gov/contactcenter

It is important to note that USCIS employees (and USCIS Service Centers) continue to operate and perform services that do not require face-to-face contact with the public.

USCIS field offices will send notices to applicants and petitioners with scheduled appointments impacted by temporary public closures.

Applicant Support Center (ASC) appointments rescheduled

USCIS will also automatically reschedule ASC appointments. Those impacted will receive a new appointment letter in the mail.

Individuals who had InfoPass or other appointments at the field office must reschedule through https://www.uscis.gov/contactcenter.

Naturalization applicants receive notices

USCIS will send notices to naturalization applicants scheduled for naturalization ceremonies. All applicants will be rescheduled when USCIS resumes normal operations.
