Firm Sponsors Robert B.L. Murphy Legacy Circle Luncheon

Murphy Desmond sponsored the Robert B.L. Murphy Legacy Circle Luncheon, once again, held on May 14, 2019, at Nakoma Golf Club in Madison, to benefit the Wisconsin Historical Society. The Robert B.L. Murphy Legacy Circle includes individuals who have named the Wisconsin Historical Society in their estate plans.

Our founder, Mr. Murphy was involved with the Wisconsin Historical Society his whole life until he passed in 2001. He helped establish the Wisconsin Historical Foundation and served on boards for both the Society and Foundation between 1948 and 1990.

The topic of this year's luncheon was "Take the Plunge! Wisconsin Underwater Archaeology" and was presented by Maritime Archaeologist Tamara Thomsen from the Wisconsin Historical Society. Prior to her presentation, Murphy Desmond Attorney and Legacy Circle member Larry Bechler welcomed the crowd of over 100 people and spoke a few words about Mr. Murphy as he remembered working with him.

Another Legacy Circle luncheon took place in Milwaukee on May 16.
