Mario Mendoza's law practice focuses on assisting applicants for professional licenses as well as practitioners facing professional licensing complaints. He has helped numerous professionals navigate licensing disciplinary and regulatory processes, including: nurses, physicians, counselors, real estate professionals, lawyers, and insurance sales professionals.

In addition, Mario is highly skilled in handling estate and probate litigation, such as will contests and claims of wrongdoing by a beneficiary or a fiduciary. As such, Mario has been recognized by his peers in Best Lawyers in America in Litigation - Trusts and Estates.

Mario assists clients with an array of business legal matters as well, including business planning and entity formation, business contracts and negotiations, real estate transactions (commercial and residential), government relations, and legal disputes requiring litigation. 

A fluent Spanish speaker and writer, Mario is a Shareholder, a member of the firm's Board of Directors, and leader of the firm's Bilingual Legal Services Group. Prior to joining Murphy Desmond, Mario served as an Assistant to the Mayor of the City of Madison for eight years, where he helped manage agencies totalling over 800 people. His responsibilties included planning, zoning,Tax Incremental Financing (TIFs) and public safety. He also represented the City of Madison in its intergovernmental relations efforts with the State of Wisconsin and other local governments throughout Wisconsin. Prior to his work with the City of Madison, Mario argued a medical malpractice case before the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

Since 2005, Mendoza has been an adjunct faculty member at the University of Wisconsin Law School in the Lawyering Skills Program, and he oversees the firm's law Clerk Diversity Program. He works with clients in the firm's Madison, Janesville, and Dodgeville law offices.
