Daniel J. Lipman, Emeritus
Attorney Dan Lipman practiced law for 52 years before retiring on May 31, 2025. He remains with the firm as an Emeritus Attorney.

Dan’s legal practice emphasized business law, real estate, estate planning, and probate in Wisconsin. He represented corporations, partnerships, and other business entities -- as well as individuals - in the organization, operation, management, and purchase/sale of businesses and real estate. He also assisted business owners with succession planning in family businesses and with third-party buyers.
In addition to business law, Dan served as a trusted advisor to many individuals, couples, and families in estate planning matters including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, fiduciary matters, probate, and family disputes.
Dan’s knowledge and skills were acknowledged by his peers throughout his career. He was listed in Best Lawyers in America in both Corporate Law and Real Estate. He was also rated "AV Preeminent" by Martindale-Hubbell/Lawyers.com, rated 10.0 "Superb" on Avvo.com, and named a Wisconsin Super Lawyer in 2006-2007. In 2003, he was ranked a Madison "Top Lawyer" for Contracts Law and Trusts/Estate Planning in Dane County as published by Madison.
Dan plans to enjoy time with his family and grandchildren in retirement.
