Julianne M. Brock
Attorney Julianne Brock focuses her legal practice on family law issues, including divorce, collaborative divorce, paternity, marital property agreements (prenuptial and postnuptial agreements), legal separation, post-divorce matters, child support, maintenance/alimony, and grandparents’ rights. She assists with property co-ownership agreements to proactively avoid disputes and possible partition actions by the courts, which can occur when an unmarried couple jointly owns real estate and ends their relationship.
In addition to a wide range of family law and property issues, Julianne serves clients in estate planning matters. She handles the creation of wills, powers of attorney, and trusts, and assists clients with issues that can occur in nontraditional families and in marriages with children from prior relationships.
Julianne was awarded the 2026 "Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch" honor in Family Law, as recognized by attorney peers in Wisconsin. This particular award is given to lawyers earlier in their careers who demonstrate professional excellence.
Prior to joining Murphy Desmond, Julianne was a legal intern with in-house counsel for a Belgium software company and in-house counsel for a Wisconsin-based life sciences company. As a Student Associate with the Frank J. Remington Center’s Family Law Project, Julianne assisted Wisconsin inmates with their family law matters.
During her time at the University of Wisconsin Law School, Julianne was the Senior Managing Article Editor for the Wisconsin Journal of Law, Gender, and Society. She competed on the Moot Court team and led discussion groups for visiting international law students. In addition, Julianne volunteered over 100 hours of her time to various pro bono projects, earning her the “Award of Distinction” from the University of Wisconsin Pro Bono Society. She also received an award for “Family Law” by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers-Wisconsin Chapter.
Julianne is available to serve her family law and estate planning clients in the firm's Madison, Dodgeville, and Janesville offices.
